Manipur CM Biren Singh made this revelation while addressing a starred question raised by opposition Congress MLA Surjakumar Okram in the assembly.
Out of the 63 missing cases, the CM disclosed that 26 individuals were discovered deceased, while 9 were successfully located alive.
However, 28 persons remain uned for, despite efforts by central and state security forces to locate them amidst the challenging terrains of the interior areas in Manipur.

Responding to a supplementary query, the Manipur CM, who also holds the home portfolio, stated that a total of 1555 individuals sustained injuries during the violence.
This includes 1429 civilians, 98 police personnel, and 28 central forces .
Notably, 334 individuals suffered gunshot wounds.
Acknowledging the gravity of the situation, the Manipur chief minister assured that adequate compensation has been provided to the families of the deceased and to those injured in the violence.
